Matched with this person on Hinge, and they flat-out had me reconsidering if I was demisexual or not for a hot minute. They were exactly my type, down to a T.

We went out for coffee, had a really fun 2 1/2 hour chat. Despite how nervous and how visibly awkward I was, we had some good bantering. They even offered a hug at the end.

Later I got a text saying they didn’t feel the chemistry. I’m hurting, honestly.

It took a lot of courage to ask them out, and sadly, it didn’t go the way I planned it.

It’s okay, I understood where they were coming from. I’m not upset by any means, but god I am hurting. It’s been a fat minute since I felt that strongly about anyone.

We can’t win them all, I’ll move on. Maybe cry a tiny bit.

Hopefully I’ll find my person in the near future.
