Gran (87) who is undiagnosed dementia remembers what she did one night during sundowning??? I was quite surprised that she was able to recall what she exactly did, which leads me to believe she may not have dementia. For context, she has a history of mental illness and addiction to Lorazepam. Recently went into the ER for hallucinations. The very week leading up to that event, she had been complaining about not having enough Lorazepam which her pcp instructed her to wean off of (she had not been and Iām just learning about her addiction now).
But can people with dementia recall themselves sundowning?
I feel so bad for all of us here t_t
