Dropped my gf off at the airport this morning before we knew the extent of what was going on with airlines. Her original flight was a direct flight to LGA which was cancelled. She was able to get a new itinerary to with a stop in ATL. However, once she got to ATL, her 2nd flight out got cancelled and now on the app and online there is no more second flight listed and no option to get a new flight, a hotel, nothing. Delta got her on standby for another flight, but she wasn’t able to get on that flight. The itinerary currently changed as if her final destination was ATL, but still has the return flight for a week listed from LGA back home. Is there anything she can do? She checked a bag too and we can’t track it online. I know it usually rebooks you automatically, but this time it just deleted her connecting flight.
Does she just need to wait in line and hope and pray she can get help and maybe a flight tomorrow? Do I drive the 4 hours to ATL to go get her? Haven’t experienced issues this bad with flying before and we’re both at a loss on what to do.
