My company paying 20K for DL one I rather just fly main and get the cash difference…
Post Body

First off I just want to say I’m really grateful for my job and the benefits I receive.

I often fly for business and one of the perks with the company I work for is to travel in business class on the company’s expense.

I was just told I am going to be need in South Africa for a last minute business trip. And to book Delta One with the company card. I went to go book delta one and I was shocked it was $20k. I confirmed with my supervisor and he told me it was ok.

I checked main and it was $2,000 I was thinking of asking if I can just have the difference in cash ($18k) but that’s why out of my comfort zone!

Corporate America is crazy! At least I am going to be diamond!

I set up a policy at my previous company that if you did not fly first class to Asia, you could get $2000 a flight. I flew to Asia about 25 times saving the company a lot of money and actually I got 25 times $2000
