A330-900neo PS or 737-300 delta one?

I have a flight in two weeks from LAX to JFK and I could use some help coming up with a game plan.

Background. I am a PM who has never flown in delta one or a lay flat seat

I am currently booked on the red-eye flight from LAX to JFK in a PS seat marketed as C on the A330-900 neo. I am hoping to get the upgrade to delta one. There are currently 8 open seats two weeks out. They are a mix of bulkhead, middle seats or even number window seats.

There are two later flights on 767s that have a lot more availability in delta one.

I am trying to decide if on the day of the flight if an upgrade to D1 on the A330 doesn't seem like it will happen based on my upgrade position and availability if I should switch to one of the later flights.

So the question is would you rather do a red-eye flight in PS on the A330 or D1 on the 767?
