I emailed the Ed Bastion email on Saturday after the heavy experience of learning of my dads very sudden passing while being overseas. Long time Delta flyer here and very let down by their team.
Hello
My Name Delta RCL: ———- DOB email Flight route Phone number
I found out my father passed suddenly some hours ago and I’m very disappointed with the lack of help and direction that the delta agents I spoke with gave me. My travel agent was hung up on after 1.5 hours of trying to move my flight to get home ASAP. I was hung up on after being put on hold for 45 minutes with Christine. Agents reported different solutions and contradicted one another, including when I called a third time and spoke with Sylvia in an incredibly frustrating phone call with unpractical solutions provided. Ultimately I had zero resolutions and even more stress and anxiety.
For what it’s worth, I’ve been with Delta for a long time and take big groups with me on trips at least yearly (including this one I’m leaving from early and purchased 38 tickets for).
I ended up purchasing an entirely new ticket on Europa Air and and will connect through MIA to get home tonight to be with my family in this difficult time.
I’m sending this email as an expression of profound let down by Delta in one of the most difficult moments of my life. I can’t express the feeling of being hung up on after trying to make a route work twice when the time was already so sensitive.
Thank you for listening, My name
I haven’t received a response yet. Should I? This was the worst day of my life and I just felt left aside when I needed help and compassion. Should I expect anything from delta?
Edit: Just received a call from Delta… got 7,500 miles for taking over two very important hours of my life and putting me through a horrible experience. I have no other words.
