Was coming from ghaziabad today when a police man stopped us to check the document in Delhi .(It happened today around 5PM near mother dairy )

No problem , must be routine check. showed all documents to them and they were noting this in piece of paper. Paper was a simple A4 sheet with no official stamp or anything whatsoever. I peeked into the paper and with the pen it was written under sec 661B of the Delhi police Act.I enquired what exactly this act is, he said, nothing just routine check we are doing.

Googled and found it has a completely different meaning and we were not in that situation.

so question to you guys ,are routine checks under sec 661B legal and normal??

Also I was sceptical of his behaviour and asked him to take his photo for peace of mind . And he got aggressive and didn't allowed to click photo .. saying aap on duty police ki photo nhii khich sakte. This even further raised my suspicion about the legality of the Act that they were noting our information under.

please suggest if any precautions should be taken for upcoming days and if this is just normal routine act with no implications.

TLdr: police man was noting our info under section 661b of Delhi police act after stopping us . tried to took his photo for my reference to which he got very agressive giving impression that all this thing being done is illegal by them.
