" MOUNTAINS ARE HEALERS. DONT MOLEST THEM AND TAKE OUT YOUR FRUSTRATION ON THEM."
As the peak season of tourism /overtourism is going on in hill stations nowdays , I've experienced and seen some of the following situations going on. Argued with the tourists too, some understand but most are ignorant. Hopefully you redditors will understand and work on these issues :
- Making a different line / breaking the line in a temple queue.
- Maintain the discipline in the temple. Be patient and stop fighting since you're there for peace. And don't keep smoking outside the temple premises.
- Throwing trash , especially alcohol bottles off the cliff.
- No Municipal Corporation is coming to pick up your trash from the jungles. So take it away with you.
- Constantly stalking/ eye raping the local girls.
- By God's grace, girls here live in a lovely and protective environment and are not used to be stalked or eyeraped. They don't have such experiences. So do not give them this unpleasant experience and make their daily walks horrible and a stress increaser.
- Road rage and overtaking on a narrow road.
- Overtaking won't do you any good. The roads are already narrow. You're just adding to the mess.
- Running over a Dog !!!
- Keep your eyes open and don't injure the innocent. If you do , take them to the veterinary.
Everyone is free to travel anywhere in this country. But that doesn't mean you're free to ill treat any area. Be respectful to the place as well as the natives.
Ps :- Don't come with the narrative that hill people owe you something or you've bought the hills. Stay humble and DON'T ACT STUPID.
I have posted this in many subreddits and am not targetting a particular place. But yes, I'm targetting the North Indian states in particular.
