Looking for a Google Photo replacement

Hello!
So I took all my photos off of Google Drive and organized them in Digikam. However, I really miss having access to them on the go on my phone (everyone I meet needs to see the cat photos, obvs).
Is there a program or service (I don't want to pay for more online cloud storage, but I could) that isn't as invasive as Google that would let me sort photos both on my phone and on my computer?
