howdy folks - i currently have a pixel 7 that i've had for almost a couple years now; i switched from iOS to Android/Graphene. i'd say it's been a good experience and i don't plan on going back. but boy, do i hate the SMS texts on Android lol. i've convinced some people i talk to to join me on Signal, but as i'm sure most of you are aware, there are some that just won't. i've been thinking of using RCS/Google messages or whatever it's called, but with it being a Google app, i'm suspicious, obviously. however, i kinda feel like using it would be better than just using SMS and having everything out in the open, in plain text.
i know it's going to boil down to what risk i'm willing to take and all that, but i just wanted some input from the community, and to see if anyone else is using it on a de-Googled phone. TIA!
