Post Body

up until a few days ago i was using OpenBoard, but realized that it hasn't been updated in about 2 years or so. guessing it's just not being maintained anymore. out of the open source keyboards i've tried so far, it was the winner, for me. i use grphne OS and their default board is actually just fine and kind of better at predictive text/autocorrect. i only have 2 complaints about it - can't use the space key as a cursor if you long-press on it and it doesn't have as many emoji as other boards. i also want swipe in a keyboard, but it's not required - i've gotten used to typing like the old days lol.

i know that there's the Simple Tools keyboard but since they were bought out, i'm kinda leery of them. obviously don't wanna use Gboard or a Microsoft variant. there is also the ASK keyboard, but it doesn't look to be maintained anymore (i could be wrong, but it'd been a long time since its last update as well). there was another board i tried called, IIRC, the Unexpected Keyboard, but it was not for me.

thanks in advance! i tried posting in the FOSS subreddit, but it kept getting removed - gave up.

thanks! i realized right after i posted this that it appears that Heliboard used to be Openboard? or their team took over and changed it over to Heliboard? idk, the app is Openboard and on the github it does mention that they haven't changed the app logo yet.

but yes, Heliboard is what i changed over to and it's been great so far :) thanks again
