Android, specifically S23: if I'm understanding this correctly, after I remove Google Play Services, then install Micro G Services (GmS Core with its UnifiedNlp) + GsfProxy, notifications from any app (e.g. from F-Droid) should work. Is this correct?

Post Body

I have an S23. I debloated everything on it, but I have not yet removed Google Play Services due to my experience with not getting notifications from my apps (e.g. Signal). It's not exactly within my scope to learn about how notifications' push notification system works, but would like to implement a FLOSS replacement of it.

This makes me wonder; this also means that I will be removing Google Play Services from Secure Folder (AKA work profile). Were the notifications tested under Secure Folder at all? What kind of setup do people usually go for (GmS Core Google Play Services in Secure Folder? GmS Core in and out?)?
