I apologize if I'm beating a dead horse, or if I'm just repeating stuff that's already been discussed before.

I'm a huge Deftones fan, and I'm 22. Been a fan since I was 16. I discovered Crosses only a week ago, and this is absolutely ridiculous.

Why are they not on top charts? Why are they not extremely popular? In a time where artists like Billie Eilish and stuff like that are thriving, how come we have Crosses, who have the same Deftones sexy and dreamy vibes, but this time it's synth Pop instead of Metal, and it's not popular? I can picture their music, especially the self titled album, being constantly mentioned by gen Z people on TikTok, or tons of memes made with references, yet that's not the case. Or there being a ton of people in their 20s who are fans and keep talking about them, also not the case.

I can understand why not everyone is into Deftones, since they're still a Metal band. Crosses are basically the same band, but it's Pop and there's synths!

This Is a Trick should've been a huge hit, it just SOUNDS like a hit I'd hear about everywhere, and used a lot on Instagram reels or people's stories. Telepathy reminds me a lot of Tame Impala, but never caught on either, despite that genre being very popular. Bitches Brew is basically just a Deftones track on the wrong band, my favorite song so far. The whole album is amazing, but the first half, holy shit.

What's the deal with Crosses? Why does nobody care about them? I personally have listened to them every single day for the past week, this is just mindblowingly good. We have Chino's brilliant vocals with that vibe we know and love, but this time in a genre liked by the masses, and much more accessible than Deftones. How come they didn't take off?
