I painted this portrait of him back in 2017, and it’s one of the few i refuse to sell. I met him in 2000 in Tucson, after they played the Rialto, I just happened to have stayed in the same hotel on the same floor. He was the nicest coolest and chill guy ever, we drank a couple of beers in the lobby and he was talkative about how cool the natives in Az were and supportive of Deftones. Over the years I would see him at different concerts and he was always that amazing guy, always down for a pic or a hello. I cried the day he passed. Cheers Chi, you were a beautiful soul
