Catching fraudsters
Post Body

I had a credit card number stolen a couple of months ago. Luckily, because I have, 1. been a victim of credit card theft before and, 2. have several systems (both automated and behavioral on my part) to help prevent or minimize damage from occurring again, I was able to stop it before it progressed beyond $100.

Today, that card was used again twice. Yes I had the card number changed and the credit card company is aware of everything as I’ve reported it to them. No worries on any kind of re-occurrence so far as I’m aware.

What I am curious about is if there is a way to determine, 1. Who may have originally obtained my credit card information, 2. Who may still be attempting to use it and 3. How feasible is it to catch them?
