I don't get people who hate Paul, because I love that son of a bitch. I've never met him before and I guarantee I wouldn't make much of an impact on him if I did, but he's had a positive impact on my life in more ways than one. He went through a very public divorce just a few years before I did, and relating to some of his experiences helped me during that very hard time. His brand of cynicism is pretty similar to mine, as is his taste in film. His eagerness to challenge the status quo inspired me to be less cagey about my own personal beliefs. I used to listen to Highdeology so I wouldn't feel lonely.
I get he's a passionate guy, and sometimes he can be aggressive and self-righteous, but that doesn't make him bad or wrong. As far as I can tell he has never reached an opinion from bad faith. So, even if you think he's wrong, he deserves to at least be considered honest.
