Just a little piece of advice that is maybe really basic but which I only figured out recently. If you need to drop stuff off at a thrift store's donation center (or similar staffed drop-off site), be sure to go early! Like if they open at ten, be there around ten. I dropped stuff off before eleven a.m., and I was one of the last cars they let through. Of course this varies by site, but it seems to hold true for the Goodwill stores in my area.
I had the back of my car full of bags to donate from last week's decluttering, and it felt really good. My mom helped me let go of some stuff with family meaning for me, so that helped a lot. She is gonna help me later this week, too. My gf came over this past weekend and really noticed a difference in how much room has opened up in my place, and I felt so happy.
