Donating to Goodwill vs. moving stuff to have a yard sale
Post Body

I'm about to move from an apartment to a house in the next month and half. I've been decluttering and collecting boxes of stuff to donate to Goodwill before I move, but my boyfriend suggested that maybe I keep it until I move, and then have a yard sale at my new place since a lot of the stuff I want to get rid of is nice/barely used. I like the idea of donating to Goodwill because of the tax write-off and I won't be bothered with the stuff for any amount of time, but with a yard sale, I can make a little extra cash and still donate whatever I don't sell for the tax write-off. However, I'll have to move a bunch of stuff I have no intention of keeping. Does anyone have any thoughts or personal stories on this to help me decide what the best avenue to take is?
