He weighs about 15-16lbs. He can still run and play and jump just fine but he mostly sleeps all day.
Ya. Fat boy. If he's pretty active and he's had his vet visits, he probably just needs fewer calories over more meals.
And if me telling someone who isn't even you not to give me unsolicited advice bothers you, maybe you shouldn't be here either.
In reply to someone saying it's just as easy as not free feeding them. I didn't say "I don't know what to do, I don't free feed her and she doesn't lose weight", I didn't say "sometimes they just can't lose weight" I didn't even say "I don't know why she's not losing weight" I just said their experience wasn't everyone's experience.
I didn't ask for advice on my cat. Additionally, It was clear from my comment that she sees a vet as I specifically mentioned her medication.
The discussion was never about my cat. She was an example.
My cat has never been free fed and her weight continues to go up. She has medication that makes her gain weight, and losing it is difficult. Your experience is not everyone's experience.
A discussion about a cat that isn't mine.
I didn't ask. If people aren't asking for advice, maybe don't offer it.

I wasn't asking for advice, but thank you. My vet and I are in extensive contact regarding my cat and she's on the best everything for her everything.
