Relapse and Lesson Learned
Post Body

Its been like 3 years since I last posted here. Last time I went through a severe withdrawal that lasted about 10 days and it was hell. I was drinking 3 energy drinks a day and on rare occasions even more. I was good for about a year and a half and then started a new job and started drinking thinking β€œOne a day should be fine.” I think Im just not cut out for energy drinks. Last monday, 08/21/2023, I started feeling anxious as I was getting ready for work and I dismissed it as morning cortisol cause usually it goes away when I get there. Oh boy was I wrong. Couldnt calm down, breathlessness, panic, emotional without reason, insomnia . It all seemed like Deja Vu. Even couldnt sleep regardless of all the teas I tried and CBD creams I had from last time.(It was all stored away from last time) I saw my posts from three years ago and it perfectly describes the exact same things Im feeling now. I am now on Day 9 and getting better. Im able to work now without being overwhelmed, this new boss has been very understanding and I only get a few hiccups now and then where I get nervous, and finally getting full sleep and I feel sleepy(a feeling I never thought Id miss) last time it lasted two weeks but I definitely learned my lesson. So Day 9 with no Caffeine whatsoever and this time plan to keep it that way. Mother says its most likely cause unlike others I cant caffeine and as a kid had a weak heart.
