As an avid pop culture observer I think that actress Alexa Demie will be remembered as an icon for this 2021-2024 era of pop culture. I think she single handedly has influenced pop culture and young people as a whole.

Similar to the way that Snooki could be seen as an icon for the 2009-2011 era. or Paris Hilton for the 2004-2007 era.

I think we will remember Alexa Demie specifically. Her character in Euphoria has a very unique and specific look.

I think she’s actually shaped the way that young people approach partying, beauty and confidence. It’s almost like she invented a new way to be cool? and i think people try to imitate her “idgaf” attitude. And her performance in Euphoria was so infectious.

Her meme of her banging at the door. Her saying “Bitch you better be joking”. The increased popularity in the word “c*nt” from young people. The way unique personalized fashion as been prioritized in young person.

I feel like I’ve noticed her influence over the last 2 years. It’s almost like when young people go out or post a thirst trap tiktok they embody the energy that Alexa Demie portrayed in Euphoria.

From literally copying her makeup, outfits and hair. To using her tiktok audios. to even subtly embodying this attitude that i feel like i can pin point as idiosyncratically Alexa. I know for myself after seeing her character Maddie I felt empowered? I went out afterwards and I thought “i’m going to be just like maddie and not give a fuck about anyone’s opinions”

Am I crazy? Maybe Euphoria will just be remembered in general for its influence on culture
