If you are curious about feminism (the second wave,) court cases, and how divorce was becoming more common in the 70s, I recommend Kramer v Kramer

It’s a very well made film, but it’s also interesting as I think it shows how a lot of women at the time felt ignored/disrespected by their husbands, and were being encouraged to seek independence. It’s fascinating as it’s one of those movies that reminds me of how impactful the 60s and 70s were for women - you could argue that the woman in the film doesn’t have good morals/didn’t do the “right thing,” but it’s clear that she was brought up during a time wherein women marrying and having a child was encouraged, and that in the 70s taking time to find yourself as a woman before marrying becoming a housewife having a kid was becoming more common (and some women not wanting this was slowly becoming more accepted.) But it’s also just an interesting film with great performances from Meryl Streep and Dustin Hoffman, and phenomenal social commentary
