Periods with a dark atmosphere to them

What are some periods with dark atmosphere/vibes can you think of? Dark can be in either an ominous, gloomy sort of way.

The following is my opinion, feel free to post yours as well.

Q4 2004. Felt the vibes with this one. Idk if its me growing into my adolescence or the 2004 shift but I felt ominous vibes going into 2005 like things weren't going back to the way it was before.

Q4 2009-Q1 2010. 2009 felt like an "optimistic in dark times" sort of year, but Q4 of that year felt the darkest. Things didn't get better until March 2010 for me personally.

Q3-Q4 2011

Q4 2014

Q3 2019-Q1 2020 Obvious

Q2 2022-Q4 2022. Idk but I felt 2022 was darkest year of the early 2020s throughout especially when I found out what's been going on in politics.
