I find it interesting how 9/11 is slowly being forgotten/ignored when people talk about the 2000s

I remember being younger and hearing people talk about how awful the 2000s were, always calling it the 9/11 decade. I was convinced that this aspect of the decade would never be forgotten. And now itโs like people who are nostalgic over, or romanticize, the 2000s just donโt care, even though it was a big event that stressed LOTS of Americans out.
