I’m almost nineteen but for me it’s actually the 80s because I remember my middle school stranger things obsession and my parents grew up then
And now I’m a young adult and am watching my parents become… well, old. I also notice how dated a lot of 80s films look to me now, in a way they didn’t four-five years ago. And thinking about the fact that we’re moving further and further away from it has made me feel a bit weird at certain points throughout this decade. The 80s are now as old to someone who is in elementary or middle school as the 70s were to me when I was growing up
