The 2000s were noticeably not “PC” like people always say the 2010s and 2020s were. The 2000s had serious problems w anorexia (the 90s probably did too due to the heroin chic,) homophobia was still a big problem, it feels like the 00s were about trying to be controversial (I love South Park but can see why some felt it was edgy and same with family guy)
