Something I always pondered about because I never paid attention to it as I got older but I always thought that the 2010’s didn’t “began” until 2012-2013 because around 2012-2013 I guess there was a lot of shifts going around, the PS3/Xbox 360 was starting to be phased out to the Xbox One and PS4 around 2013/2014. Dubstep started to become popular around that time. The rise of Minecraft and YouTube gaming creators/streamers. Instagram gaining traction. The changes in fashion as well among the teens aka leggings, Uggs, khaki jeans/pants, obey, diamond supply co. Etc. I think emo/scene was in a decline around this time also.
