What would you do in my situation? About 8K in debt and bills are increasing.
Post Body

Hello all, yes I know the best thing I can do is probably seek advice from a financial advisor, but I am desperate as the world is turning into crap. I know 8K does not seem like a lot, but this is coming from a 23 yr old who lives in California, I work 40 hours a week and I have a biweekly pay of $1306(2,612/mo). I am struggling to have a financial balance because I am independent and mostly care for myself. I got my first credit card at 18 and was very smart in the way I was spending my credit and re-paying it back but unfortunately, last year after two weeks of living in my new home, I lost my well paying job and could not find another job for 8 months thus causing me to use my credit cards in desperation.

Here is the breakdown of what I essentially pay each month:

Main bills:
Rent: $850 every 1st
Car: $410 every 18th (6 year loan, 3 years to go)
Insurance: $220 every 7th
Electricity: ~50 every 1st (balance is currently at $294.00)
Car gas: $50-60/wk

Essentials:
Grocery/Hygiene: ~ $200/mo
Fun food: ~ 75/mo (going out to eat & such)

Which is about a total of $1,850 going towards bills / myself. Which... leaves me with ~ $770 to spare monthly... right?

Now back to my credit cards.... I have Discover at $3,986.05 with an interest rate of 26.24%, a minimum payment of $125 my max limit is $4,000.00. As for my WF, having a balance of $1,990 with an interest rate of 0% and a minimum payment of $75.00, max limit of $2,000. (both due on the 2nd)

I want to pay this off as fast as I can and I KNOW I will have to make sacrifices in order to do so. The main thing that is eating me alive is the damn interest rate on my discover. I used to have a credit score of 750 but due to all the usage, it brought it down to the high 500s and it really sucks because I am looking to buy myself a new car within the next year but I am afraid that if I don't pay off my debt, I won't be able to.

So reddit, in this case what would you do if you were me or in my situation?
