Cant play media from network device

Hi People
I need some help, i have an unraid media server and all of a sudden i cant play any media on my deb (KDE) laptop via SMB.
I have tried VLC and some others not its not the app itself, i am getting thumbnails through in dolphine but it just wont play my videos.
SMB is working on my other devices so seems to be an issue with this machine and i cant for the life of me figure out.
I thought maybe it was UFW but its not, any ideas would be great
