Like there are some pros and cons.

At first i want to say that i watched live action adaptiations long time ago so there can be some misunderstandings etc.

Reasons why 2015tv drama is conected to light up the new world: -At the end of the ep11 we see a short promo vidieo of Light up the new world. -Near never was mentioned in 2006 live action movies and we never saw him in Light up the new world. So maybe thats the same Near from tv drama?. -production years of tv drama, new generation and light up the new world dosent have a huge production gape.

The arguments against it are: -light up the new world got the same actors who played in 2006 live action movies. -there was a TV movie called "Genius of the Counterattack" and in short thats a recap of 2 first 2006 action movies with some with some of conection to "New generation" 3episode series

• im not sure about 2 things that can be important here. Was it mentioned how light died in Light up the new world or new generation? Because his death in 2006 live action and 2015 tv drama are different.

And did Matsuda picked up the death note in 2015 tv series? Because in light up the new world he recognises Ryuk because 10 years ago he touched the Death Note.
