Greetings users of r/deathbattle! As most of you are aware, yesterday on the Death Battle Cast, the team officially announced that they will be conducting another Champion’s Ballot following the success of the one from last year. While the nitty gritty of the new ballot is to be announced, this is an exciting prospect for the community nonetheless. As such, going forward we will be doing these megathreads every week for the foreseeable future to cultivate some controlled discussion within our community about the ballot.

Things to keep in mind:

1. This thread is for shilling any matchups you want to wind up on the ballot and become official episodes. This will function similarly to how the actual ballot functioned in the discord last year. You can write as little or as much about the matchup as you please, and the inclusion of things such as thumbnails, fan trailers, and commissioned tracks are welcome to be shared here as well. If you’re between two matchups you want to shill, share both of them and ask the community for their thoughts on which one to go with!

2. Be positive! Try not to disparage or be dismissive of other people’s suggestions. Comments like “X vs Y is better” are unnecessary. If you see a matchup you aren’t a fan of there is nothing obligating a reply from you. These are peoples most wanted matchups, it takes more effort to rain on their parade than it does to leave them alone.

3. While the “no posting suggestions” rule is lifted in this thread, every other rule of the subreddit is applicable here and there will be repercussions for violating them.

4. These threads will be made weekly, so if your matchup doesn’t get a lot of engagement the first time you post it, don’t worry, there’s always gonna be another opportunity for you to share it.

5. These threads are in no way affiliated with the official Champions Ballot.
