Ive seen this all through the series but the last episode really encapsulated it. It might as well have been called Daddy Issues. Seriously is there anyone on the show without daddy issues? I miss my daddy, my daddy was my hero, all I want is to make by daddy proud, live up to my daddy’s legacy etc. It’s completely understandable and very human but it’s also at the same time quite sad and pathetic particularly in grown ass men. I’ve worked a lot of swingin dick type jobs (logging, construction, oil & gas) and they are chock full of men with daddy issues. The show really is becoming more and more of a man soap.
