Dead Cells+ on Apple Arcade has no blood

I already own Dead Cells and some of the DLC but I was excited to get the Apple Arcade version for all of the DLC.. but on download I noticed a three star review stating a lack of blood and pixelated effects.
I downloaded it anyway and checked the options, and there’s no accessibility menu which is where you can tick ‘disable blood’.
