I understand DBD has always revolved around GENERATOR completion as the central objective, but it's normally been a much more complicated process - there were many dynamics in how this was done and how it could be altered - simple builds as pressure from hit & run or even slugging (disgraceful as it is). Now, however, heals are easy, coordination is simple (boons as rallying points), stealth is straightforward with ultimate aura-reading perks (Fogwise, just wow) to safely hug generators, and chases have been overly simplified (less intricate to compensate for faster GENERATORS).
How do people feel about the current meta, though, as either a survivor or killer? Honestly, as mainly a killer, I feel compared to 1 - 3 years ago, it's just... less fun; everything requires constant generator bashing or else it's all over at Red Rank. You have to conclude a chase in 20-30 seconds in the current perk meta, too, or else this means survivors - who won't be burdened by being injured or unaware of where you are any more due to current popular perks - will solely complete generators - no distractions.
I understand GENERATORS have always been the core objective, but who feels it's become so too much and that's actually a detriment? People aren't doing totems, chests or any other side objective - no perks, too, are having that as imperative any more... There's no situations, too, where risks for alternatives are there - people will simply do generators.
