Iron Grasp and flashlight saves?

I just got my first proper flashlight save after months of killer main... except i didnt. I got the "blind" sound effect while he was picking up my friends, but he didnt drop him. i later found out he had iron grasp. nothing in the perk description explicitly says it stops flashlight saves, but maybe it does? i couldnt find any other reason why i didnt get my first save proper like the dozens who have done it to me.
