Quick question on cross play

Today I though I would turn it off just to play people’s on the XBOX platform. 10 minutes and no match, and it was 100% bonus for Killers so I assumed there would be plenty of survivors.
Do they just not want you to match that way. Can’t tell me there weren’t 4 Xbox players open at the same time in a 10 minute period. Lol
