Question about iridescent 1

I just started playing a little over a week ago and have played almost religiously over these past 7-8 days, I hit iridescent 1 on killer yesterday and I’m wondering if Its possible to lose rank and derank to iridescent 2 or below before the reset? I want to play a little more fun and less sweaty but don’t want to lose rank, any Information is helpful ;)
