Very new author and looking for helpful feedback or thoughts! Thank you friends! :)

Sigh. Another morning. Sarah’s eyes groggily opened as the lights in her bedroom began their wake-up routine. Even without looking at her phone, she knew that it was 8 a.m. Her boyfriend was trying to get his sleep schedule back on track since school was starting soon. Not that it mattered to her, since she had been up for the past three hours anyway. God. I still don’t have a job. What am I going to do?

Rolling on her side, she faced her boyfriend, David, who was still asleep or at least pretending to be. His chest hair curled softly as the lights began to illuminate more and more of their bedroom. Glancing down, Sarah noticed that he was sporting the usual morning “salute” as it were. Maybe I can do something about that a little later, she thought deviously to herself. Sex was always a pleasant distraction from reality. It gave her mind a break from thinking too much about work… or school… or herself...

“Morning, babe.” Sarah looked back up at David and met his eyes. Dark brown, but there was always a tenderness in them. Sarah’s heart melted as he pulled her close in their typical morning cuddle. “How did you sleep?” Typical morning question.

“Not the best,” Sarah mumbled. “I keep thinking about work. About school. About money. My mind is just spiraling."

David took in a deep breath before responding. “It’s going to be okay, Sarah. I told you that things will work themselves out. You’ll get a job, and then all this stress will go away.” Sarah appreciated the optimism, but it didn’t provide the kind of relief she needed. In fact, it made her feel worse because of how simple it sounded. What was wrong with her?

“I know, I know. I’m overthinking it. Well, everything. I just… can’t handle not knowing… you know.” She pushed herself into his arms more, wanting to melt into his chest and be safe forever. “I just…” she continued in a soft voice, “… I want to just stop thinking about it for today.”

David wrapped his arms around her tighter. He knew that she was going through a lot with the recent move, schedules starting to get busier, and the job hunt. If only there was something he could do for her…

“Hey, I have an idea,” he said, holding her back slightly and looking at her face. “Why don’t we hop in the shower, eat a little breakfast, and then head over to the new park down the street? We passed it the other day, and the equipment looks brand new. Might be fun?”

Sarah wiped a small tear from her face and looked back with a small smile. “Really? Are you sure? I have a lot of things to do today with the job search, and I’m sure you have some things to do for school as well and…”. David held up a hand and pressed his index finger to her lips, effectively stopping the stream of anxious thoughts in its tracks. “It’ll be okay, Sarah, we can do those things later. Right now, we’re going to the park.” With that, David got up and walked to the bathroom to start the shower. Sarah melted once more into the bed.

About an hour later, David’s Honda pulled into the small parking lot of the nearby park. It wasn’t particularly easy to get to. As they got closer to the park, the map on David’s phone seemed to crash and wouldn’t reload, so they had to follow signs to actually get to the parking lot itself. For some reason, the entire area was covered with dense trees and winding roads. David said it was an adventure, but Sarah wasn’t so sure. She had never seen this park on their drives around the city. When she asked David how he had known about it again, he just said that it had come up as an advertisement on Facebook. As the car finally pulled into a spot, Sarah looked out the window and saw a sign for the place. “Younge Park,” she said as she opened the door and stepped onto the pavement, “I wonder who it’s named after.” Despite her thoughts racing through her mind faster than a NASCAR event, Sarah had decided to put some cute clothes on for their morning trip out. Her hair was in a ponytail, and she had put on her favorite old running shirt. She knew that David loved the new exercise shorts that she had gotten online, so she didn’t hesitate to put those on the second they were out of the shower. To keep things interesting, she had even snuck on a thong while David was drying off. A little surprise for later maybe. Completing the look were her new white tennis shoes and low-cut socks.

David had also gone with a more casual look, wearing some of the new clothes that had come in his StitchFix subscription. Gray golf shorts, a nice dark blue t-shirt, and his tennis shoes. Sarah smiled. Standard look for him. As David got out of the car, she playfully skipped next to him and took his hand as they started walking down the sidewalk.

The park itself looked brand new. Not like, lightly used and in good condition, but brand new. The sidewalk led up to a white pavilion that was half open with picnic benches, a few water fountains, and even vending machines. The other side looked like it had a few private restrooms and an event space that was dark at the moment. Sarah started wondering how much it was to rent the space out before she noticed the playground equipment. From the parking lot, it had just looked like a normal playground, complete with a swing set, jungle gym, and one of those merry-go-round sets that most places had gotten rid of. But as they walked inside the pavilion and she got a closer look, she saw that each one was huge!

The swings were reinforced with heavy-duty chains and wide enough to fit even the largest adults. The slide was twice as tall as one you might find on a normal playground, with a winding staircase and handrails that led up to the top. Sarah took another look at the jungle gym and saw that a sign on the side read, “Ages 20 .” Shocked, she turned to David and said, “Are you seeing this, babe? These are way too big for children. What is this place?”

David was just as busy looking around, not believing the scale of the equipment. “I don’t know! The web address showed me pictures of the park, but it all looked normal. Maybe it’s for disabled people?”

Sarah stopped and looked at him. “Are you sure it’s okay for us to be here? I don’t want to get in trouble.”

David took her by the shoulders and gave her a kiss on the forehead. “Sarah. No one is here. If anyone did come up, we would just leave, but I don’t think that will happen. Besides, when was the last time you went on something that looked like it was big enough for you?” David paused, glancing down at his relatively small girlfriend. “Actually, never mind.” He smirked and patted her head.

“Hmph!” Sarah pouted and crossed her arms. “I’m not that little, you butt!” At the same time, she kept finding herself looking at the slide behind David. It looked so shiny, and the area at the bottom was padded with bright colors and polka dots. David followed her gaze and nudged her with his hip. “Looks like someone wants to try the slide. Go on then!”

Sarah looked back at David with a forced look as if to say, really?, but the sarcasm she meant to display was quickly overshadowed by a strange enthusiasm. It had been forever since she had gone down a slide, especially one that looked like it was made for bigger kids… er… adults…

“Okay. But no pictures!” Sarah pointed threateningly at David as he took out his phone and put it on the table out of reach in a promising gesture. “No pictures,” he said almost mockingly, “Now get up there already!”

Sarah gave her purse to David and started walking up to the base of the stairs. Putting one hand on the rail, she looked up. It was almost 15 feet off the ground! Sarah put one foot nervously on the first step and grasped the rail. Almost letting out a little yelp, she started to ascend the stairs. “You got it, babe!” David called from underneath the pavilion, phone clearly in hand as he recorded her.

“Hey! I told you not to record me!”

“Yeah, well, you were just being so cute climbing up those stairs! Couldn’t resist!”

“Butthead.” Sarah grumbled to herself as she approached the top of the slide. Looking down, it was almost as if her vision started to blur. It was taller than it looked from the bottom. Sitting down on the metal, she was thankful that it wasn’t a hot day or else her thighs might have had some interesting burns on them from the contact. She was about to slide down when she noticed a little label on the top bar of the slide. “What’s this?” Sarah said as she leaned in closer to read it.

Warning: Suitable for ages 20 months. Not recommended for adults.

“20… months?” Sarah said under her breath. She was about to call down to David when she felt her legs slide underneath her, causing her to careen down the slide at a frightening speed. “Ahhhhh!” Sarah yelled as she rushed to the bottom, her hands trying to hold onto the sides and feet struggling to slow the descent. With a thud, Sarah flew off the end of the slide and landed with a THUD on her butt a few feet away. Thankfully, the ground was covered in that soft foamy-like carpet, but it still shocked her nonetheless.

“Aww, did someone have a little accident coming down the slide? Are you okay, babygirl?”

Sarah looked up at her boyfriend who was jogging over to her from the pavilion. Kneeling down beside her, he put his hand on her back and rubbed it while making shushing sounds. “It’s okay, it’s okay,” he said.

“Yeah, I’m fine.” Sarah muttered, embarrassed by the fact that she had just fallen off the slide and that her boyfriend was calling her babygirl. Sure, it was usually a turn-on for her, but she didn’t like it in a condescending way. “I was distracted by the sign at the top, something about it being for 20-month-olds and not 20-years. What did the website say again?”

But David wasn’t paying attention to her. Sarah yelped as she felt her athletic shorts being pulled away from her lower back and David peeking behind her. “Still dry! I was sure that fall was going to cause an accident. Well, I’m impressed that you’re such a big girl! Good job!”

Sarah was mortified. “What the FUCK! You think I peed myself? How old do you think I—“ Sarah immediately stopped as she noticed a strange feeling around her waist. Looking down, the front of her shorts looked the same as before with the heather texture and tight spandex. With one notable exception. It looked like her underwear was showing underneath, lines clearly showing around her groin. Interestingly, the lines seemed to be getting more defined the longer she looked at them.

“Oops, looks like I spoke too soon,” David said.

“What the…” Sarah whispered in shock, even though she could feel herself emptying her bladder into her shorts. The warm urine seemed to flow out without control as her shorts continued to swell around her. But, that didn’t make sense?

“Good thing we decided to wear big girl protection this morning! I don’t think those shorts would feel that good wet.” David reached down and took Sarah’s hand to help her off the ground. “Come on, little one, let’s go get you changed.”

“I… wait… what… changed?” With a little yelp, Sarah found herself practically picked up off the ground by David’s hand. She didn’t remember him being so strong. Looking down, she could feel her shorts swelling to contain her… accident… but she was still confused as to how. As David led her back towards the pavilion, she bravely pulled on the front of her shorts to look at her soaked thong. Except she hadn’t soaked her thong because she wasn’t wearing one. Sarah’s eyes widened as she stared at the top of what looked like a very poofy, very girly, and very wet pair of pull-ups.

To be continued.
