Playing another Minotaur Berserker after I lost my one that found the treasure trove (surrounded by summons in Swamp).

Just got a God gift on Lair 2. Rapier of Cataclysm. Anti-magic, 3 strength, protection from negative energy.

BUT I've been putting points into maces and flails (currently 10.8) and I have a 3 demon whip of venom. So feeling pretty good about it. Also training shields but haven't found one yet.

So do I swap to a 8 rapier while I find scrolls to further enchant demon whip? Or ignore it and wait for something better? None of the berserker/fighter guides online suggest a short blade as a weapon, I've never bothered skilling a fighter for one (always axes or maces). But it seems like a pretty sweet weapon to be gifted at this point.
