So my family and I are about to go on a cruise on the Fantasy and what with some of us being 20-somethings I had a few questions regarding the alcohol policy and security:

I know that the new limits are only 2 bottles per person OR a 6 pack of any beer. The last time my family went we were able to get on before the change with 2 Liquor bottles (1.75L and 1L) and a bottle of wine. This time we are hoping to bring a 6 pack (for myself) and 2 bottles of liquor at around 1L. My questions are directed at people who have recently been on a cruise (ever since the change).

How strict are they on the alcohol limit?

From my looking around they dont make you take out bottles that are clearly wine, what if I have a liquor bottle that looks very similar to wine in shape and color? Im planning to bring the bottle of liquor and 6 pack in my carry on bag and if questioned claim Im carrying it for my family.

What was the process like at security regarding alcohol?
