After re-watching DBS Broly film with my roomate, the one wish bothered me again at the end and I started thinking back haha

Now I know there are a vast majority who believe the two wishes in the Resurrection F arc is inconsistent because the Dragon has been able to grant three wishes as far back as the Cell Caga with Dende. But only gave the Pilaf Gang and Freeza's men two, but Bulma still wished at the end. Maybe Shenlong sensed something wrong and didn't do the 3rd for Pilaf in the film? All they gotta do is ask the staff to explain this? lmao

But let's look back. Goku and company summoned Shenlong in Battle of Gods and is asked how to create a Super Saiyan God. Shenlong tells the group that six righteous Saiyans are needed to create a Saiyan God. Shortly after the Dragon is scared of Beerus and leaves. Since it was a question, its presumed to not be counted as a wish. Thus leaving 3 wishes. Pilaf Gang with Freeza's army then summon Shenlong and resurrect Freeza and wish for A Million Zeni. Then at the very end of the film, Bulma mentions she's going to use the last wish from the Dragon Balls to wish North City back, which was destroyed by Freeza. My guess is her radar was blinking meaning that's how she knew the Dragon Balls were active still. Thus the Dragon still does grant three wishes in the film. So is it really a plot hole? This North City action does not happen in Super but instead the 3rd wish goes to Pilaf and Gang wishing for ice cream as a way to give Piccolo's death more stakes because now they have to use Namek's Dragon Ball's.

Other Wish Plot Holes That Aren't

During the anime version of the Red Ribbon Army arc, the Japan subs has Pilaf stating its been a year since his castle was destroyed. Thus its been a full year not 6 months for the Dragon Balls to be active again since Oolong's world saving wish for panties occurred. The Manga doesn't do this so I guess it still counts as a plot hole. But you could say Goku's wilderness adventures before running into the RR were a little longer than shown because Manga pages move quicker?

Dragon Ball Super Broly

The Dragon is Summoned after the Black arc to use just one wish by Gohan for Pan's fever to go away. The Dragon Balls remain untouched at Bulma's place till Freeza's men steal them. Its then hinted that Bulma used a wish to make herself look younger. Thus leaving one wish left for Broly.
