Michael was a factory worker. Janine worked at the local gas station as a cashier. Growing up in a small town, with little amount of people around their own age, they were almost destined to be with each other. Michael had missed many opportunities to tell Janine how he felt as he was a quiet soul. Every day before going to work he would stop by the gas station and have a quick 5 minute conversation with whom he thought was the love of his life. Every day he would go, but everyday he failed to amount enough courage to ask her on a date. Until one day, Michael lost his job at the factory. He was so out of it that he didn't care enough of whether or not she would say yes or no. On his way back from his last day of work he asked her out. She smiled and gladly said yes.
He drove her to a small coffee shop in Berizino and had a lovely time. Her smile brightened his every inner being. At the end of the date he had not realized that he had forgotten his wallet. He was so embarrassed but Janine politely inclined to pay the bill. They had a hearty laugh and left. On the car ride back, he couldn't stop looking at her. She was the most beautiful thing in his world. She caught him looking at her, she only smiled. To him, losing his job was the best thing that ever happened to him. Although he lost something, he gained the one thing he only ever wanted. When he dropped her off and got home, he couldnt sleep. That smile was there everytime he closed his eyes. It was the only thing he could think of.
As Michael laid in his bed in complete ecstasy of the events that had transpired, he heard a scream next door. He got up and looked out the window. Something was fumbling out the window but he only got a glimpse. He went outside to see what was the commotion, when he was met by his love. "What are you doing out here in the middle of the night?" he asked. She turned around. His heart sunk into his stomach. Her face was mangled with scratches and open wounds. Her face was pale white and eyes the same. It had felt like a nightmare. He was just dreaming. Sadly this was reality. Before he had time to react she had jumped on him and began biting into his neck. He didn't fight, he didn't scream. He just laid there on his back, looking off to the shore, his eyes began to tear up. Michaels neck was bleeding profusely and his vision was getting hazy. Others joined in the feast. Still, he remained looking off to the coast. Waiting to wake up.
