Me and two friends were running north through the woods west of Staroye. We had a ton of gear from earlier on when a helicopter had crashed. ( http://www.reddit.com/r/dayz/comments/wjzgm/to_the_helicopter_that_crashed_outside_electro/ )

I was keeping overwatch from the woods north of Staroye. As I was looking around I saw a helicopter crash site and mentioned it to my group that was looking for food. They promptly headed over. After they had finally gotten to the site and looted the place, they started to head north to meet up with me. They each aggro'd a few zombies on them so they were slowly taking care of them, when suddenly a flashlight had been turned on down the road to the north of Staroye at the intersection. Since I had night vision it was clear as day, I saw one person and mentioned it to the rest of my group, upon closer inspection there was a group of 6-8 people. They had already seen my friends, because they were shooting at the few straggling zombies.

I noticed some people had generally big weapons yet no night vision, and since my group was still wide open in the field and killing zombies, I decided to fire (with an AS50 I found at the helicopter crash mentioned earlier); but since I had night vision I couldn't get a proper shot, so I was forced to refrain from using iron sights or scopes. In the chaos, I ended up killing 3 people, and injuring countless others, who proceeded to Alt-F4. I wasn't too bothered at the fact thought since we were just trying to survive.

Needless to say my heart was pumping, and seeing kill after kill appear in the chat was insane. After keeping watch for abit, I moved position just in case some tried to change server and come up behind me. I didn't see anything so I gave the OK to go and loot, after they fully searched the bodies we came up with: M107 M4A1 ACU backpack AKM Food All complete with ammo of course

After we all regrouped, one group member went to go change his audio setting and accidentally pressed Restart/Respawn. Karma's a bitch I guess..

If you were in that group. Sorry for killing you guys, but all but my group members were wide open and visible while you were coming out from behind the bush.

Next time, try not to use a flashlight just outside of a town, or maybe use chemlights if you are trying to see something on the ground.
