Hello, forgive me if this sounds like a silly question but,

I'm possibly moving into the area from the Delmarva region, and looking at apartments/townhomes, a good chunk of them are mentioning washer/dryer hookups, but not mentioning if they come with washers and dryers. This is somewhat confusing to me, as in my area I've never seen an apartment or even most houses for rent that don't provide a washer/dryer if they have a hookup for them. Is this a regional thing? Should I be planning on investing in a washer/dryer?

Like I said sorry if this seems like a silly question, but a good 80% of the apartment/townhomes for rent that I've looked at have mentioned this.
