Post Body

Hello Reddit! Just kinda curious if anyone has any experiences with this company or may currently work there?

I’m interested in a career change & have a buddy who works there in one of the software dev departments. He’s willing to put in a referral for me but I’m hesitant that I’d actually land an entry level software dev position.

I’ve been in the restaurant industry for almost 10 years and need a change; coding has been an interest of mine & I actually moderate a local subreddit with 70k members; which has taught me a lot about YAML & RegEx.

I don’t have a degree & I attempted a coding bootcamp a few years ago but unfortunately had to drop it due to life circumstances.

My buddy gave me some Codecademy courses that he was given when he was hired & I’ve been working on those; currently playing around with JavaScript.

I guess I’m just writing this post to see if anyone may have some insight on the likelyhood that I’d have a realistic chance being hired into an entry level position here. It would be a huge opportunity for myself; I’m just self-doubting a bit & need some realistic outside perspectives from people who may have worked here.
