Dayton City Commission
Post Body

I’m planning to attend my first city commission meeting in the hopes of having some concerns addressed, and it’s intimidating to say the least. I’m not a good public speaker and I’m not sure how responsive they are or if this is a good strategy (I’ve used Dayton Delivers and spoken to city staffers on the phone but gotten nowhere). Do any of you have experience with attending one of these meetings and speaking about an issue? How does it work? Do I have to apply ahead of time to speak? Time limit behind the mic? Was your issue resolved? Dress code?
