Dawn of War (Retail) on Windows 10?
Post Body

EDIT: It looks like the problem with Soulstorm is either the image I created and me being impatient with the DVD. It looks like the original DVD works just fine, will have to take a look at my copies and update if I find out something that someone could find useful in the future.

So... many many (MANY) moons ago I managed to get a copy of "Dawn of War: The Complete collection" (A pack that had the base game, Winter Assault, Dark Crusade and Soulstorm). I had my share of matches, my share of fun and moved on.

Lately I've been having the itch to play it again, so I undusted the images I had created to prevent the original media to get fucked, and tried to install Soulstorm and got a "This application is not for your system" message. Trying to load the original DVD led to the unit getting stuck.

On an unrelated note, I own both Dawn of War GOTY (The original plus winter assault) through some random humble bundle and Soulstorm (I don't recall ever re-purchasing this game on Steam).

So, I got two questions here:

1) Is there any way to get the game to install through my old DVD's? This is more out of personal spite that anything else, and because, hey, I got the damned DVD's and I want these DVD's working. I just upgraded to Win10 (I know, I know) and I'm a bit lost with compatibility and all that, so maybe is just a thing of the original DVD's being too old, but from the old, physical media I still own, this would be a first of not being able to install it.

2) There's any way to "transfer" my Soulstrom to Steam? I've tried putting my key on the "Activate a game, blah blah" but it says the key is invalid. I know is now on sale for a measly 1.94, but I have a personal thing against paying again for something I already own, and if there's any way to get the game I already own working, I would like to know.

Thanks!
