A guy unmatched me because I didn’t want to answer 3rd grade essay questions.
Post Body

Okay. Not literally, but very close. I’m 36f and matched with a guy on eharmony(OLD, yuck) We started to chat and maybe only spoke for two days. Small chitchat. The typical, what do you do for a living, how was your weekend, type stuff. You know the drill.

Then suddenly, out of the blue, this guy sends me THIS:

Ok, 3 questions for you

What is your favorite animal and give me three characteristics of the animal as to why you like that animal?

What’s your favorite article of clothing and give me three verbs as to how it makes you feel when wearing it?

And give me your favorite body of water (river, ocean, creek, etc) and give me three characteristics of that body of water and how it makes you feel?

————-

So I just kind of sat there and blanked out staring at my phone. Three verbs? My favorite body of water? I haven’t been tested on these things since I was a kid. I wanted to give the guy the benefit of the doubt and thought, maybe he’s just being silly/ playful. But it was seriously a ‘wtf moment’ for me.

My favorite animal? Three characteristics? Do I need crayons for this?

So I reluctantly responded, “oh wow, that’s quite the essay” To which he said, “hahaha, no it really isn’t.”

Then unmatched me.

What the actual….? Is this what OLD is?!? Lol? Anyone experience something like this? How did you respond?

UPDATE: Okay so a few of you guys are saying it’s a personality test. My thoughts on this is I feel you can’t summarize a person up based on these questions. And the fact that he immediately unmatched me because I didn’t understand what he was doing, meh, it wasn’t meant to be. Putting someone through a 3 question personality test instead of having a normal conversation with actual big people, human words is a bit close minded. You won’t REALLY know a person unless you sit and talk, and experience one another.

I dunno, just my two cents.
