Going on dates when you're NOT feeling it - Sorry title typo.

Do you go on dates that you feel kinds "meh" about? I'm more specifically talking first dates here.

When I was younger I loved going on first dates. As long as the guy didn't seem unpleasant I was happy to give it a shot. I'm an outgoing, social, person. I like meeting new people and I think almost everyone can be good company for a few hours over a beer. But lately I just can't be bothered.

I was talking to a guy on Tinder. He seemed cool, we'd been talking for quite a while, so I asked him out. In the process of making plans, and some of our texts since he's said a few things that are sort of red flags for me (not like he's a cheater/manipulator/abuser red flags, just we're not compatible). I'm sure we'll still have a nice time and I have no other plans that day so why not, but I kinda just don't care anymore.

My friends say I should still go and give him a chance. They say cancelling now would be rude and I'll regret it when I'm sitting home alone. I feel like I would have agreed 3 or 4 years ago, but I've been single 6 years now and I'm just so over it. The last 4 first days I went on were all completely fine with guys that I'm sure are great but not for me (sometimes they're into me, sometimes they're not but it doesn't matter). I'd say a good 80% of dates I've had over the last 6 years have been like this. It just feels like groundhog day.
