After a lot of failed first dates lately, I started talking to a guy on Hinge. We quickly realized I was always up near his house when we were kids. I have been IN his parents’ house as a kid and used to play with his little sister. We talked nonstop for a week and decided to meet on Saturday. INSTANT connection. Instantly comfortable. We spent hours sitting and talking about growing up in the same small town and all of the mutual people we know and about so many connections we had that we didn’t realize we had. He keeps saying we HAD to have at least crossed paths at some point in our lives. He’s 6 years older than me, but we have too many mutual friends, hang outs and experiences to have never run into each other. I told him today that I didn’t want to freak him out, but I felt the need to hide all my dating profiles. He told me he was so happy with that because he hid his when we started talking, even before we met. Maybe this one will be a good one. It certainly feels that way right now.
